IoT development for connected devices and live data

We connect sensors, machines and vehicles to software you can actually use. Our IoT development covers the device firmware, the cloud platform that collects the data, and the dashboards and alerts your team checks every day.

At a glance

  • Sensor and device integration
  • Real-time dashboards and alerts
  • Cloud IoT platform on AWS or Azure
  • Secure device management and updates

What is IoT development?

IoT (Internet of Things) development is building systems where physical devices, such as sensors, meters, trackers or machines, send data over the internet to software. That data is stored, analysed and shown on dashboards, and it can trigger alerts or automatic actions.

Services

What we build

We handle the hardware side, the data side and the apps people use to see it all.

Sensor integration

Temperature, vibration, location, energy and more, connected over Wi-Fi, 4G, LoRaWAN or Bluetooth.

Asset and fleet tracking

See where equipment and vehicles are, how they're used and when they need a service.

Remote monitoring

Keep an eye on sites, machines and cold chains without being there.

Dashboards and alerts

Live views on web and mobile, with SMS or email alerts when readings go out of range.

Firmware development

Embedded code for ESP32, Raspberry Pi and industrial controllers.

Predictive maintenance

Use device history to spot failures before they happen.

Where connected devices make a difference

  • Agriculture: soil moisture, water tanks and weather stations
  • Construction and mining: equipment use, safety and site conditions
  • Logistics: vehicle tracking and cold-chain temperature logs
  • Facilities: energy use, occupancy and air quality

Why Kedra Digi

Why work with us

One in-house team

Designers, developers and testers work together in-house. Your project is never passed to a subcontractor.

A clear proposal first

Before any work starts you get an itemised proposal that explains what we'll build and how.

You own everything

Source code, designs, documentation and accounts are handed over to you. There's no lock-in.

Support after launch

We monitor, maintain and improve what we build for as long as you need us.

Kedra Digi is an Australian-owned software development company. See our recent projects.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most.

Ask your own →
What does an IoT project include?
Usually choosing the devices, writing firmware, setting up connectivity, building the cloud platform, creating dashboards or apps, and managing devices once they're deployed.
How much does IoT development cost?
It depends on your requirements: how many devices, what type, how they connect and what the platform needs to do. We usually suggest a small pilot first. After a free discovery call you get an itemised proposal.
Can you work with sensors we already have?
Often, yes. If they send data through a standard protocol such as MQTT or Modbus, or have an API, we can usually connect them.
How do you keep IoT devices secure?
Encrypted connections, unique credentials for every device, regular firmware updates and keeping devices on separate networks.
What if our site has poor mobile coverage?
We can use LoRaWAN, satellite, or devices that store readings and upload them when they're back in range.
Do you offer a pilot before a full rollout?
Yes, and we recommend it. A small pilot proves the hardware and connectivity work on your site before you commit to more devices.
