Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most.

Ask your own →
How do I know which award applies?
It depends on your industry and the work each employee does. We review both and confirm coverage.
Can an employee be covered by more than one award?
Usually one award applies, based on the main industry or type of work. We help work out which.
What if we pay above the award?
That's fine, but you still need to check that all award entitlements are covered.
Do award rates change?
Yes. Minimum rates are usually reviewed each year, and award terms can change too.
Can you set up our payroll rules?
Yes. We check or configure your payroll software to match the award.
Are you lawyers?
No. We give practical HR advice and recommend legal advice for complex disputes.
